Of the 254 enterprises that was awarded the gazelle label based on the financial statements of the year 2009, a total of 146 companies was awarded the gazelle-label for the very first time. This means that a total of 57.5 percent of the gazelle companies, based in Akershus, are new companies, according to Norwegian business daily.
The five-year-old company Inter-Gastro AS founded by entrepreneurs Terje Hellegaard and Pål Espen Solberg, climbed to the very top and was named this year's gazelle company in Akershus.
The company imports spices, marinades and hot cabinets to supermarkets, and is owned by Knut Hugo Solberg.
