Hynor Lillestrøm has signed a contract with Danish H2 Logic to deliver a hydrogen station, which will be completed in the summer of next year. Hynor is also importing five converted Think City cars, fitted with hydrogen fuel cell.
The station in Lillestrøm will, according to chief executive in Hynor Jan Carsten Gjerløw, have a price tag of approximately 20 to 25 million kroner.
The station is funded by the Research council of Norway, Akershus county, Skedsmo municipality, Innovation Norway and Transnova, a project funded by the Ministry to reduce CO2 emissions from the transportation sector.
The development of the Think hydrogen has been difficult and full of delays. Hynor was originally going to receive the first car in the summer of 2007, but it´s only now that the cars are right around the corner. According to previous estimates, a Think Hydrogen will cost about 1.1 million kroner.
